The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (MAUEC) has through the years developed a targeted policy regarding Spanish Civil International Servants, which is embedded in the wider Spanish Foreign Affairs Strategy (2021-2024). In this context the Department for Spanish International Civil Servants is charged with providing support to nationals who work in International Organisations, but also with a wide variety of other functions, such as: providing weekly information on vacancies of interest for Spanish Nationals, executing the bilateral Junior Professional Officer Program with UN Agencies, Funds and Programs, developing the bilateral UNV Spanish Volunteers programme with UNV (Bonn), as well as a host of other programs all of which aim to provide a continuous flow of detailed information to potential Spanish candidates interested in vacancies and careers in the international multilateral world.

The MAUEC finances the 2024 edition of the Global Careers Virtual Fair for Nationals from Spain as a part of its policy to facilitate contacts between the Human Resources Departments of International Organizations with potential Spanish candidates with the aim of providing Spanish talent to these organisations, as well as obtaining information regarding specialities, skills and talents that are currently needed in the multilateral arena to find solutions to the global challenges all countries face.
