The BIS seeks a Head of HR Operations. In this key post, you will be responsible for developing the Bank’s long-term HR digitalisation roadmap, and for the upgrade and continuous improvement of HR operational processes and services.
Based in Basel, Switzerland, the BIS is the world’s oldest international financial institution. It was founded to support global monetary and financial cooperation and serves as a bank for central banks. Its member jurisdictions account for 95% of global GDP.
Your contribution Leading a diverse team of staff, contractors and external services suppliers, you will manage a varied portfolio of projects and services. These will include developing and implementing a long-term digital transformation strategy together with the HR management team. You will work closely with designated HR teams and other business areas to design and implement a roadmap for enhancing and developing on an ongoing basis the HR services delivery. You will be involved in designing and developing HR business processes, optimising and making the best use of technology. In this process, you will actively contribute to Human Resources and the BIS organisational development and be actively involved in change management and HR initiatives/projects.
Your qualifications and career profile
We would like to meet candidates with a relevant university degree (ideally in an HR or IT-related field) plus a master’s degree and relevant management experience, including proven experience working collaboratively with other business areas in information technology, compliance, legal or audit areas. You will have expertise in the delivery of IT-based services and/or business and quality improvement processes in the context of a broader change management programme.

All new staff members are recruited on a fixed-term basis without expectation either of any contract renewal or conversion.
