Description

The Intern will work under the supervision of experienced colleagues to carry out a work assignment and will report to the Procurement Department. More generally, the incumbent provides support for the activity and, more particularly, is responsible for the following responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze public procurement legislation and reports on its actual implementation in the countries of operation of the CEB, with the aim of establishing a small repository of documentation and a database on legislation.
  • Create country procurement factsheets with key data and procurement indicators.
  • Assist in logistics and administrative tasks related to meetings and coordination events organized by the department.
  • Assist with document classification and indexation in the CEB databases.
  • Participate in missions if needed.

Profile

Studies: • Have, at least, completed an undergraduate degree (from university or other accredited institution) in law, economics, engineering or management. Postgraduate studies in any matter related to procurement would be an asset.

Linguistic skills: • Have perfect command of written and spoken English, knowledge of French, the other Bank’s official language, would be an asset. Knowledge of languages of former Yugoslavia, Turkish, Albanian, Romanian or Georgian would be an asset.

Professional skills: • Possess strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills.

Employment Conditions

• Be less than 28 years. • Be a national of one of CEB member states • Have completed studies less than two years previously

Internships at the CEB are intended to give interns a general overview of the CEB’s objectives and activities.

The internship will be offered for a period ranging from 3 months to 6 months, with a possibility for further extension up to a maximum of 9 months depending on business needs. Work is undertaken at CEB offices in Paris. A starting date will apply to you and will be confirmed at the time of the offer.

Admission to an internship does not confer on the intern the status of a CEB staff member, nor does it confer any entitlement to a subsequent appointment on a permanent or temporary basis. CEB evaluates applications based on eligibility requirements, the relevance of academic study and level of interest and motivation to contribute to development work.

lnterns at the CEB are paid a flat-rate allowance as an indemnity and support towards living costs and public transportation.
