Main Duties

  • Provide subject matter expertise of current and future SAP functionality in one or multiple business processes for Finance Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and/or Budgeting.
  • Serve as an expert resource for our clients in translating their business requirements into design specifications for our implementation service providers.
  • Develop innovative approaches to design architecture or implementation of projects and enhancements to the business via SAP applications and other integrated solutions.
  • Evaluate design solutions being proposed by our SAP service providers to ensure best practices and standard solutions are being followed.
  • Build partnerships with our clients and advise on the technical operations of SAP in areas where you are the COE subject matter expert.
  • Oversee that all major enhancement and project work being performed by our implementation service providers are timely delivered with quality.
  • Ensure all production support issues are promptly remediated by SAP and our service providers supporting the application.
  • Develop application acceptance test plans and coordinate scheduling of all integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop technical, functional, and testing documentation following COE standards.

Requirements

Education
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Two formal SAP certifications required.
  • Certifications on SAP technologies such as SAP ERP 6.0 Procurement (SRM) & Financial Accounting (FICO) preferred. S4/HANA, Ariba, SAP BPC are a plus.
Experience
  • At least 4 years of SAP functional experience, specializing in solution design, configuration, and integration of at least one of the following SAP subject areas: Procurement, Budget, Finance
  • Experience in full life cycle implementation of SAP
  • Ability to Debug ABAP programs
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience using SAP Solution Manager for Application Operations or Lifecycle Management
  • Soft skills to participate and lead multiple initiatives with the different Departments of the Bank
  • Experience designing and configuring SAP payment interfaces is highly desired
  • Experience working on the financial/banking sector is preferred
Languages
  • You are proficient in English and in another Bank official language (Spanish, Portuguese and/or French).

Tasks and Responsibilities

Should you be selected for the position, you will be responsible for providing analyses on the political developments in the country and recommending issues for action to the Head of Policy and Planning regarding the necessary mediation and confidence building measures to further the achievement of the Missions objectives. You will be contributing to the development and implementation of Mission policies and strategies, with special attention to ensuring consistency and coherence between the Missions programmatic, political and public diplomacy goals. You will report directly to the Head of Policy and Planning.

As the Senior Political Adviser, should you be selected for the position, you will perform the following duties:

  • Managing and co-ordinating the work of the Political Section;
  • Providing strategic analysis of political issues, ensuring that trends and developments relevant to the Missions work are brought to the attention of the Missions Senior Staff members, through the Head of Policy and Planning;
  • Contributing to policy discussions among the Mission Senior Staff members. This includes conducting research on selected topics of the Mission interest, drafting background and working papers, and policy briefings;
  • Contributing to making recommendations on how the Mission might appropriately and efficiently focus its activities and tasks to take into account changes in the domestic political and economic landscape;
  • Facilitating co-ordination and planning with Senior Information and Co-ordination Adviser and relevant staff in the programmatic departments, and with the Heads of Field Offices, to ensure strategic and operational cohesion between political and programmatic activities;
  • Providing policy guidance and advice, where necessary, to the Missions mid-management officers, in order to address political obstacles to the achievement of the Mission objectives;
  • Preparing briefings and other materials for the Head and Deputy Head of Mission, as requested;
  • Representing the Mission at the events organised by other organisations. Delivering presentations to external audiences, on the political developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  • In co-ordination with the Head of Policy and Planning, maintaining regular contacts with domestic interlocutors to ensure BiH partners are informed of and engaged with the Missions activities and objectives;
  • In co-ordination with the Head of Policy and Planning, maintaining close and regular contacts with counterparts in partner international organizations in order to inform the Mission of the plans and priorities of the international community and work towards joint strategic planning where possible.

General Minimum Requirements

  • Excellent physical condition
  • Possession of a valid automobile driving license and ability to drive using manual transmission
  • Ability to cope with physical hardship and willingness to work extra hours and in an environment with limited infrastructure

Field of Expertise Requirements

  • Second-level university degree in international studies, public policy, political science or law or related fields
  • Diplomatic experience or experience working in political affairs with international organizations or governments
  • Experience in preparing analytical reports
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills
  • Knowledge of regional political history and developments
  • Diplomatic and negotiating skills
  • Some knowledge of the OSCE principles and commitments

Level of Professional Competence Requirements

Education
  • Second-level university degree/certified training course in a relevant field desirable
Experience
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant, diversified and progressively responsible professional experience including at least 3 years at the management level relevant to the actual position

Mission Specific Requirements

  • Second-level university degree in history, international relations, political philosophy, political science, law or related fields;
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant, diversified and progressively responsible professional experience including at least 3 years at the management level relevant to the actual position;
  • Experience in political affairs with international organizations, governments, or non-government organizations involved in quasi-diplomatic activities;
  • Professional fluency in English and proven ability to write clearly and concisely;
  • Experience in preparing analytical reports;
  • Knowledge of regional political history and developments;
  • Knowledge of the OSCE policies and principles;
  • Ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity;
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure of deadline;
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Windows applications, including word processing and e-mail.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the National Programme Manager, Senior Liaison and Communications Assistant performs the following tasks:

  • Prepares materials (press releases, social media posts, outreach materials) in Ukrainian and English
  • Supports content development on the PCU’s and project partners webpages
  • Manages contacts database and stock of visibility materials, e.g., factsheets, banners, flags
  • Conducts outreach events through organizing media coverage of project related activities and publicity events
  • Acts as the SALW (Small Arms and Light Weapons) control projects’ communication advisor by:
    • supporting communication and visibility planning and implementation
    • assisting Programme Manager in planning publicity, including in their project proposals
    • speaking on behalf of PIT/s (project implementation team(s)) and PCU
    • advising team members on how to handle media enquiries
    • arranging interviews for HoM (Head of Mission) and others
  • Responsible for liaison & communication with the project partners on the local level by supporting communication activities related to country-wide public opinion survey, attitude study and public awareness and communication campaigns including mainstreaming messaging, as well as to promoting improvement of legislative mechanisms for regulating and controlling the circulation and use of WAE (Weapons Ammunitions and Explosives) and its implementation
  • Performs other duties as assigned and required

Necessary Qualifications

  • Completed secondary education, supplemented by formal courses in media / journalism, humanities or project management;
  • Minimum six years of working experience in communications, preferably in an international environment;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Ukrainian and Russian;
  • Computer literacy, with practical Microsoft applications experience.
