The German Büro Führungskräfte zu Internationalen Organisationen (BFIO) is looking to recruit young German professionals for its JPO programme.

Requirements to join the event:
- Be a German national.
- Have a post-graduate qualification in one of the following areas: Political and Social Sciences, Economics and Law, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, or Natural and Engineering Sciences.
- Have between 2 to 4 years of work experience from the date of your first degree.
- Have a high level of English (good command of another UN language is desirable) and a cosmopolitan mindset.
Please note that you can still participate in the event if you have a Bachelor’s Degree in order to discover more about the Programme.
Hellmut Meinhof heads the Bureau for International Organisations’ Personnel (BFIO), a specialised service provider to the German Government in the field of searching, selecting, and consulting of executives and junior executives for international organisations. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, he has garnered extensive expertise in both the public and private sectors, shaping his approach to international organisation dynamics and talent development. He studied psychology, theology, and medicine in Heidelberg, Marburg and Bonn and holds a diploma in psychology from RWTH Aachen University. Hellmut‘s professional experience positions him to lead the BFIO, driving initiatives that foster global cooperation and development. His leadership at the BFIO reflects his commitment to nurturing talent for international organisations, ensuring they are equipped with the best resources to address global challenges effectively.
Antonia Eser-Ruperti is an Associate Programme Officer at UNESCO’s Section for Freedom of Expression and Safety of Journalists, where she focuses on the Organization’s projects to support journalists and media resilience in Afghanistan, Ukraine, Sudan, Haiti and other crisis contexts. Prior to joining UNESCO, she was a Programme Officer for Eastern Europe at the Friedrich-Naumann-Foundation for Freedom, with a focus on civil society projects in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Turkey. She holds an MSc in Conflict Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Lancaster University.
