Welcome to our IT Tech Talent Pool campaign info-site where you will find information to help you decide if our talent pools match your skills and aspirations. You can navigate this site using the four above tabs, with direct links to our application pages in the last tab. The information is kept to a minimum and flows from one tab to the next one.

About us

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) works to achieve sustainable growth and prosperity for all of its 190 member countries. It does so by supporting economic policies that promote financial stability and monetary cooperation, which are essential to increase productivity, job creation, and economic well-being. The IMF is governed by and accountable to its member countries.

The IMF has three critical missions: furthering international monetary cooperation, encouraging the expansion of trade and economic growth, and discouraging policies that would harm prosperity. To fulfil these missions, IMF member countries work collaboratively with each other and with other international bodies.

As part of our operations, we rely on advanced technology and innovative IT solutions to ensure that our global operations run smoothly and securely. The Information Technology Department of IMF aims to be:

  1. A trusted technology and agile solutions provider in the Fund, by;
  2. Adopting simplicity, data-driven decisions, information security resilience, and;
  3. Embracing a culture of continuous improvement, while;
  4. Maintaining operational excellence, end user focused and responsive IT support, through;
  5. Innovative solutions that better support our membership.

To deliver this, we recruit IT professionals from all over the world, men and women, to help us drive change and contribute to the global financial community’s stability and growth.

Our recruitment drive will create 7 Tech Talent Pools from where our recruiters will be able to look at preselected candidates to fill vacancies as they arise and before they are released to the general public.

Our IT Careers

We are looking for talent from all over the world with a special focus on women and Global South nationals, looking at an IT career in an international environment.

From ensuring the uninterrupted operation and security of our advanced computing and communication infrastructure, to working with cutting-edge technologies to safeguard our information and applications, preventing cyber threats from hackers and cyberterrorists, maintaining reliable uptime for our remote employees, teams on visits to our member countries, and offices located worldwide, you will be expected to deliver the best of you.

But not just that as we are looking for skills sets under 7 career families:

Our recruiters are on standby from the ‘go’ moment to assess your application. This is a straightforward pass/fail stage so we encourage you to carefully review the requirements for each career family before you apply to ensure you meet the requirements.

If you clear this stage, we will then invite you to a virtual recruitment fair on  26, July 2023, time 14:00 CET to meet our recruiters for a first conversation. This will be about you, about us, about the careers we offer and start working towards a landing zone where needs and aspirations align for you and us. This virtual event is by invitation only so we encourage you to make sure that your application is perfect so you can clear this first stage!

To access our virtual event, you will first need to complete a short registration and once completed, our recruiters will contact you to offer you an appointment. All relevant information will be provided to you at that stage. You will also be able to attend the event without an appointment, but you will need to queue at virtual booths so if your days are packed, we encourage you to book your time as soon as possible – will make your day easier to plan!

Following this interview, you will be invited to apply for specific positions in the future. IMF will also maintain your name in a database for future vacancies.
