The need for gender equality in the workplace has been recognised as a critical issue for decades. However, women still remain under-represented within many organisations worldwide, and strikingly so at the most senior levels.

If you are a young American citizen looking to broaden your horizon and start a career with the United Nations, UNHCR is inviting you to participate in this unique online event about the JPO Program on 13th December. Junior Professional Officer (JPO) scheme sponsored by the Government of the USA.

Candidates must be young professionals, US nationals (mandatory), holding an advanced university degree, have two to four years of professional experience and advanced language skills in Spanish and French (preferred).

What is the JPO Programme recruitment criteria?

  • You will need to have a post-graduate qualification in one of the following areas: Political and Social Sciences, Economics and Law, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, or Natural and Engineering Sciences.
