The Programme

Coffey is a key delivery partner for the British Government. We are looking to expand the pool of consultants we work with to design proposals, shape and deliver education reform programmes on behalf of our client. These will vary in nature, duration and location.

The Position

The positions will vary. These are likely to include:

  • Short term positions tasked with scoping possible programme design, identifying key challenges in the education sector and appropriate interventions as well as drafting business cases and logframes
  • Short-term positions on discrete pieces of work, such as political economy analysis, behavioural analysis, feasibility and baseline assessments
  • Long-term positions such as team leader roles, output leads and embedded advisors

The Person

Applicants need to be familiar with working with the UK’s Department for International Development and/or the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. The exact specifications will vary depending on what positions become available. Useful skills are likely to include:

  • Experience designing and delivering education programmes in the MENA region
  • Experience building the capacity of education ministries
  • Expertise in the following areas: early childhood, design and implementation of teacher training programmes, public-private education systems
  • Problem identification and analysis
  • Innovative design of appropriate interventions
  • Experience of what works, and what doesn’t, based on local context
  • Stakeholder management and engagement
  • Understanding of the interaction between education and good governance
  • Experience in challenging environments
